The mutant lacks expression of PB000372.00.0

Protein (function)
Unknown. The protein was detected in a proteome analysis of P. falciparum oocysts and sporozoites and was abundantly present in salivary gland sporozoitesin and not found in oocyst-derived sporozoites. It contains a transmembrane region.

Phenotype
The phenotype has not been analysed in detail and the mutants have not been cloned after transfection. Sporozoite production was not significantly different from wild type and sporozoites were infectious to C57BL/6 mice.
